New poll, rhinestone shamrock, heart checkerboard

Don't forget to vote in the new poll on the right side of this blog.

Now to designs:
Still working on the Scottish Castles, Egyption landmarks and Grand Canyon border, but until then, here are a few other new designs.

This would be a great gift put on a t-shirt for a child or friend. In this design, you recieve both the outline and the filled shamrock seperated. It also will be in two different sizes: 10ss rhinestones or 16ss rhinestones.

Also, here's a heart checkerboard. I've given you both versions here too. You can take the lower version and create a background with it or use the upper version to make a border that can be repeated.

More designs to come soon. Check back!
Enjoy!

New Designs- Wallace Monument, clovers, and others.

New Designs coming this week!

This is the Wallace Monument that is near the city of Stirling in Scotland. It was built in honor of William Wallace. There is some amazing design and architecture in this monument. When I create a tourist attraction design, I do some research to make sure I'm portraying it okay. I loved learning about this building! For those of you who have had a chance to visit this, I envy you. It looks like an amazing place!

Here's a cut version of the swirly clover as requested on the Silhouette store.

And a few fun holiday shapes to go along with the lace ribbons!

Enjoy!

A little early for clovers and pots of gold? No way!

So to tell you a bit more about me. I was adopted when I was 3 days old and don't know much about my birth parents or my blood ancestory. When I turned 18, my mom and dad gave me a letter from the social services that gave me a little info about where I come from. One thing I found out from the letter is that my ancestory is Irish! Also, my husbands ancestors are Irish and my father-in-law went to Ireland on a mission for our chursh. So, I know it's early to start St. Patrick's Day celebrations, but in our family it quite the holiday! So here are a few of the St. Patty's Day designs coming soon:

Here's a "print & cut" clover that I originally created for a calendar for my grandmother but thought I'd share with the rest of you too! If you're uneasy about the "print & cut" feature, here's the link to silhouette's blog describing the process a bit. http://silhouettemachine.blogspot.com/2009/11/monday-cafe-print-cut-gotta-love-it.html .
It is very easy to do. The hardest part I ran into was getting my Silhouette machine to recognize my registration marks. Once I read the troubleshooting portion and got that working, the rest a piece of cake!

One thing I remember from kindergarten was that during the celebrations for St. Patty's Day, there would be little green feet trails all around the school and class rooms. All of us kindergarteners firmly believed that our school had been visited by leprechauns! It was such a fun memory! Funny thing, when I first experienced this holiday with my husband, those leprechauns also visited his apartment! Now we cut these feet and tape them all over our house for our family and friends to enjoy.

This is a single layered border with the little feet. If you would like a layered look, you can combine the individual feet with the swirly border below!

I wanted to show you that these designs are not just for St. Patrick's Day, but that they can also be used for baby creations. Color makes all the difference, doesn't it! Takes on a whole new meaning. :)

Also, if you notice, this last image is also showing you a layered border.

Here's one more idea of what would be a fun idea with the feet design. Add it to the poem about two sets of footsteps in the sand becoming one set of footsteps. Then Christ says something like "that is the point that I carried you" or something like that. I'll find the title and let you know.
Anyways, Enjoy!

New designs and old and soon to come!

I have not ignored your requests for your tourists attractions. They are coming. It's just been a busy week and I have not had a chance to get them on there for you.
Coming soon...look for some Scottish landmarks, and the Sphinx and Pyramids.

Now to what is new and available at the moment. Here's the Sidney Opera House with the Harbour bridge in the background.

Since I haven't had a chance to do the tourists attractions, I threw some other stuff on there that I though you might like. Here are some more of the ribbon borders.

A little rainy day series. I'm working on a puddle jumper phrase too. Right now, here in Sacramento, we are having quite the rain storm. Who can go out there without jumping in the puddles. It's just a given! :)

And finally, here is a design that I have doodled over everything since I was in high school. A fun little flower:

The swirly flower comes in a sketch version and a cut version.
Also, speaking of flowers, I thought I'd show you some of my older flowers too:

Enjoy!

Colosseum

New design as promised, the Colosseum:

Enjoy!

Tourist Attractions...leave a comment of which one you'd like!

Okay, so I'm still not feeling the best so my brain isn't up to par. I did want to let you know that I am going to devote next week to Tourist Attractions. Be sure to leave a comment of which one you'd like to see and I'll do them first come first serve.
The designs I create, look detailed and delicate but require little or no assembly. They consist of a silhouette shape with the details cut from that shape. If you would like just the silhouette shape with out detail, ungroup the design and delete the detail. Here's a link to Silhouette's blog about ungrouping if you're not sure how to do that: http://silhouettemachine.blogspot.com/2009/12/monday-cafe-its-group-thing.html .
(For those looking for the Roman Colosseum, that one is first on my list and is actually partly done on my computer right now!)
Here's an example of some that are already for sale in the store:

Eiffel Tower in Paris, France

Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, USA

Taj Mahal in Agra, India

Niagara Falls on the border of New York, USA and Ontario, Canada

Enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to leave a comment!

Personalized Playing Cards

We LOVE to play games in our family. If you come over to our house, you may be invited to play Multi-Solitaire as I like to call it, Nertz, Hand and Foot, Up and Down the Ladder, or any other kind of card game. Because many of these require more than one deck of cards, we own at least 8 different decks. So, I sat here thinking...(every once in awhile all kids are napping at the same time and I can do this, imagine that)...what if I could make my own deck?! I thought I'd share it with the rest of you too! Here's a little of what's to come:

And the little design below called "Hearts and Diamonds" was originally created as just a Valentine's design. I was surprised when I finished designing it and found the negative space popped out as diamonds, hence the name "Hearts and Diamonds". It's great for a Valentine's background, but would also work great for a "Game Night" or "Poker Night" background.

Enjoy!

Valentines Designs

I haven't been feeling very well, so I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a few days. Here are a few of the recent Valentines designs for sale on the Silhouette website. Enjoy!

Alrighty, here is the new design coming to the online store near you! Could you guess from the clue? Here we are:

I had originally designed this to cut in three layers, but the flourishes are too fine for the machine to cut, so I've created the wedding cakes as "print and cuts." The cakes are sold in sets of 4, each with a different color of ribbons. The above set comes with Red, Black, Navy, and Chocolate Brown. Set number 2 comes with Baby blue, Lilac, Sage Green, and Mustard Yellow.

I'm hoping I've covered most wedding colors somehow since it isn't as customizable as when it was just a cut design.
So, do you ever get a song stuck in your head and you can't get it out. I'm having trouble concentrating because of that very reason. Parents out there, you may feel my pain,...the song stuck in my head is...Backyardigans. For those of you who have small children or watch small children, you may understand the frustrations I'm having right now. Can't design because "...we're your backyard friends...the Backyardigans..." is being serenaded in my brain by 5 little animal friends. Once I can get past my sickness and that obnoxious song, I'll have more designs to show you.
Be sure to check back. I'll have a preview of a lot more to come! Enjoy!
