M for my husband

Hello Crafting Ladies! Ruthie here again! Are you enjoying all the inspirational projects? hope your are because all of them are beautiful!! Well, for today´s inspirational post I bring you a beer jar that I made for my husband. I wanted to try the etching glass technique and this was the perfect time to do it because last Tuesday was our 8th Anniversary so I wanted to give him something special, something for him.

I saw this giant beer jar at the dollar store and came to my mind the perfect gift for him. I used the 'm' monogram that you can find at the Silhouette Online Store to make this project. This is my first time trying this technique and I love it, it really easy and takes so little time to make it. This didn´t came out perfect but I like the result.

Hope you like it and try it!! Don´t forget to join us at our July Anything Goes Contest | SDS-SVGAttic, you still have some time to participate!!

File used: 'm' monogram #55058

See you next time!!!

Mermaid Splash Pop Up Card

Hi everyone, Esther here and I'm so excited to share my creation with you!!

My granddaughter is turning 4 this weekend and she really wanted a Mermaid Party.
Perfect theme for a summer party by the pool, right?

For her invitations I used Snapdragon Snippets Mermaid Splash Pop Up Card, file # 63237

This is the absolute cutest card, I just love it and it was surprisingly easy to put together.

My granddaughter is thrilled with them, I think she especially likes the pop up feature.

Now to get busy on her favor boxes, etc.

We all need thank you cards!!!

Happy Monday! Diane here from www.happyscrapperdiane.blogspot.com with a quick and easy card. Today I took Snapdragon Snippets 5 Petal Flower Card file#27666 and the 5 Petal Flower Envelope file#27667 and made some thank you cards.  If you are like me, you are always needing them.  I guess I am still old school, but think you should properly thank people for gifts and acts of kindness. For this project, I had some older Stampin Up paper in my stash.  One side is green and the other side was blue.  I added cardstock, some stickles, and a gem and got me some easy cards.  I love the envelope to match and these are so easy to make.  Stop by the Silhouette store and get these files and make up some of these cards today!!!

Coasters svg style

Hi this is Lissa to inspire you with another SnapDragon Snippet's Design from the Silhouette store.   Today I thought I would inspire you with some of the word art they have. Design ID #56163 I loved this saying so I made some Coasters.  I cut the files with my Cameo, making my own border, I feel simple is usually best.

I bought the tiles probably from a crafty girl's yard sale but I also buy them at the hardware store Home Depot or Lowe's for about .19 cents a piece.   Then a roll of cork I found on clearance at Michael's, (the same crafty yard sale had a roll of cork too) and just glue it to the bottom so it doesn't hurt the furniture.

I really loved the outcome, the saying and more.  These will be put to good use, it's also a good gift for a friend who is down and out and need's a little uplifting

Graduation Card by Jearise (July 16th, 2014)

Even though the fireworks are gone along with the hometown parade, that doesn't mean that you can't keep using those cute star files from Snapdragon Snippets.

I made this graduation card

using the Star Card Design ID #28777

I just grabbed some graduation themed paper and then cut out a graduation cap and it all came together. You could always use the graduate's school colors to complete this card as well. This is a very versatile cutting file and can be used for so many different occasions from birthdays to graduations to Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you today.

Also don't forget our July anything goes challenge going on here.

Files Used:

Snoopy Red Baron

Happy Wednesday everyone, Esther here.

I wanted to share with you the plane I created for my father who is a big snoopy fan.

When I saw this file I knew right away just what I wanted to do, make Snoopy as the red baron.

I cut everything out with my trusty Silhouette Cameo. The plane is Snapdragon Snippets 3D Bi Plane, file #41779.

I looked up pictures of the red baron plane on Google and tried to make it look as much like the real plane as I could.

I also googled Snoopy and found a jpeg of him in his aviator gear. I downloaded it to Silhouette Studio, resized it, and traced the cut lines so I could cut him out.

My Dad thought he was pretty cute!!!

Our Trip to the Aquarium

Happy 4th of July!!!!

Happy July 4th to all and please have a safe one!!! Diane here today filling in for Lissa. I had made something else for this post, but then thought today is the 4th and decided this needed to be a 4th of July project.  I love the new cards in a box and decided to do my take on Snapdragon Snippets card.  I love that this is bigger and that it goes together so simple!!!  They even have a envelope file to make it easy to mail this card!  You can find these files in the Silhouette store and the card is file#61113 and the envelope is file #60587.  I know that today the holiday will be over, but this card base is great to adapt to any occasion.  I recently used it for my granddaughter a birthday card with the Frozen characters.  Try one of these cards today!!!  Be sure to enter our challenge with SVG Attic.  You can create any project either using Snapdragon Snippets or SVG Attic files.  It is called "Anything Goes" and you have the whole month to enter.  Rules and details are on our July 1 post.

3 Fireworks Card becomes a birthday card

Welcome to my post today for Snapdragon Snippet. This week the US celebrates it's independence with family BBQ's and fireworks and Snapdragon Snippets has lots of wonderful cards and decoration for the 4th including this card.

3 Fireworks Card  Design ID #28778

But you can continue to use these wonderful files even after the 4th. I used the 3 Fireworks Card file to make two different birthday cards to give you an idea how creative you can get with this great card design.

As you can see, just layering the different layers can give a totally different look to this very versatile file.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a safe and happy 4th of July! Jearise :)
