A little early for clovers and pots of gold? No way!

So to tell you a bit more about me. I was adopted when I was 3 days old and don't know much about my birth parents or my blood ancestory. When I turned 18, my mom and dad gave me a letter from the social services that gave me a little info about where I come from. One thing I found out from the letter is that my ancestory is Irish! Also, my husbands ancestors are Irish and my father-in-law went to Ireland on a mission for our chursh. So, I know it's early to start St. Patrick's Day celebrations, but in our family it quite the holiday! So here are a few of the St. Patty's Day designs coming soon:

Here's a "print & cut" clover that I originally created for a calendar for my grandmother but thought I'd share with the rest of you too! If you're uneasy about the "print & cut" feature, here's the link to silhouette's blog describing the process a bit. http://silhouettemachine.blogspot.com/2009/11/monday-cafe-print-cut-gotta-love-it.html .
It is very easy to do. The hardest part I ran into was getting my Silhouette machine to recognize my registration marks. Once I read the troubleshooting portion and got that working, the rest a piece of cake!

One thing I remember from kindergarten was that during the celebrations for St. Patty's Day, there would be little green feet trails all around the school and class rooms. All of us kindergarteners firmly believed that our school had been visited by leprechauns! It was such a fun memory! Funny thing, when I first experienced this holiday with my husband, those leprechauns also visited his apartment! Now we cut these feet and tape them all over our house for our family and friends to enjoy.

This is a single layered border with the little feet. If you would like a layered look, you can combine the individual feet with the swirly border below!

I wanted to show you that these designs are not just for St. Patrick's Day, but that they can also be used for baby creations. Color makes all the difference, doesn't it! Takes on a whole new meaning. :)

Also, if you notice, this last image is also showing you a layered border.

Here's one more idea of what would be a fun idea with the feet design. Add it to the poem about two sets of footsteps in the sand becoming one set of footsteps. Then Christ says something like "that is the point that I carried you" or something like that. I'll find the title and let you know.
Anyways, Enjoy!
